Man booked for human trafficking
Pilibhit, Aug 2 (UNI) Police have registered a case against a human trafficker, who allegedly duped four Sikh youth of several lakhs of rupees in Puranpur area here promising jobs abroad.
In his FIR, Sandeep Singh had alleged that a resident of Kajri village, Bhag Singh misled him and three others in the name of providing jobs in Italy.
He claimed Bhag Singh had taken Rs 3 lakh each from the quartet assuring job in Italy.
Later, the accused again took Rs 2 lakh from each of the four victims, police today said.
As per the complaint, Sandeep and another victim were held captive for a month by Bhag Singh in Thailand and were later sold for Rs 2 lakh to another broker.
A case had been registered and a probe was underway.
