Conjunctivitis breaks out in AP district
Vizianagaram, Aug 2 (UNI) Hundreds of people with conjunctivitis were admitted to various hospitals here.
District Health Officials said several people suffering from pain and swelling in their eyes were admitted to district headquarters hospital.
Dr K N Murthy, an Ophthalmologist, said conjunctivitis, if not properly treated, would cause damage to the cornea and could ultimately lead to blindness.
The health officials had urged the people to take appropriate precautions to contain the spread of the disease.
