BJP MPs to visit Indo-Bangla border
Shillong, Aug 2: A six-member BJP parliamentary team will visit the Indo-Bangladesh border along Meghalaya tomorrow to make an on-the-spot assessment of its vulnerability and the resultant cross-border infiltration.
The delegation will be led by BJP MP from Balasore, Orissa, M A K Swain.
Meghalaya BJP General Secretary Dr PM Passah said the team would also look into the problems of the people living along the border areas due to the ongoing border fencing at Lyngkhat, Pyrdiwah, Dawki and adjoining villages.
The team will proceed to Lyngkhat via Pynursla and then to Dawki, Pyrdiwah, Muktapur before starting their trip to the border areas of Barak Valley, Dr Passah said.
