Bharati Shipyard gets Rs 177 cr order
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Bharati Shipyard Ltd today said it has received a repeat order worth Rs 177 crore from UP Offshore (BAHAMAS) Ltd, for design, construction and supply of two Platform Supply Vessels.
Company's Managing Director P C Kapoor said in a statement ''after becoming the first Indian shipbuilding company to enter into South America, we have put another step forward as we have bagged this repeat order.'' A Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) is a ship specially designed to support offshore oil platforms. The primary function of these ships is to service the offshore oil platforms including supply of drilling mud, pulverised cement, diesel fuel, potable and non-potable water and chemicals used in the drilling process.
