AP Legislatisve Assembly and Council prorogued

Hyderabad, Aug 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur prorogued the state Legislative Assembly and Council with effect from yesterday.

According to an official release here today, the Governor said ''In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, I prorogue with effect from August one and the 11th session of the 12th legislative Assembly which commenced on July 16.'' The session of the Legislative Council began on July 17.
