Web to trace missing children!
Gulbarga, Aug 1: In an effort to trace missing children and to bring coordination between the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), a web application 'home link and missing child search' was launched here yesterday.
Explaining the details about the web application, NGO Don Bosco Director Rev. George Kulleseny said that the home link and missing child search were a venture, initiated by the Don Bosco National for young at risk, supported by the UNICEF and department of women and children as a pilot programme to document, to trace and network for the children in need of protection and care.
He said the website(www.Missing childrensearch.Net) links all the young at risk projects in India, where 40 NGOs in 65 cities working for protection of children.
He said home link brings different groups of NGOs across the country into its network based on the various analysis of data at every point of the network. This would help the government and other agencies to plan and make policies to provide a better environment for the child to grow.
