Maneater leopard killed by villagers

Guwahati, Aug 1 (UNI) A full grown leopard, which killed a minor and devoured its flesh last night, was killed by villagers and forest guards at Duliajan in Tinsukia district of Upper Assam.

The leopard last night killed a 11-year-old minor, Dhirsai Gar, at the Mahabir tea estate in Bahodai and devoured its flesh.

The animal had been creating menace in the area for the past couple of weeks, injuring at least five people.

Today, the villagers and tea estate labourers surrounded and killed the leopard in presence of forest guards.
