Bihar CM mourns JD(U) MP Ajit Singh's death

Patna, Aug 01 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar mourned the untimely death of his party(JD-U) MP Ajit Kumar Singh in a road accident near Siwan and described it as an irreparrable loss.

In a condolence message from the capital of Mauritius Port Louis, where he was on a five-day goodwill visit, the Chief Minister said Mr Singh was a young, dynamic and very popular leader of the masses and his rich contribution in the Cooperative movement could not be forgotten.

Describing the untimely death of the MP as a huge blow and an irreparrable loss to the party, Mr Kumar said, '' I have no words to describe the loss. '' He also directed the state Chief Secretary and other senior officials of the state government to provide all assistance to the members of the bereaved family and announced a state Funeral for Mr Singh and asked the authorities to make all necessary arrangements.

He also sympathised with the bereaved family.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi also condoled the untimely death of Mr Singh and described it as his personal loss.

Recognising his role in the Cooperative movement, Mr Modi said with Mr Singh's death it had received a major blow.
