Puducherry: Anganwadi workers call off strike

Puducherry, Aug 1: Anganwadi workers in the Union Territory today called off their month-long strike and resumed duty.

This followed a settlment arrived at during a discussion the confederation of Puducherry state government employees association to which the anganwadi workers are affiliated, had with Welfare Minister M Kandasamy last night.

The anganwadi workers were on strike for nearly a month, demanding the withdrawal of the government order transferring them en masse.
