West Bengal: Rs 36 lakhs of an NGO looted

Barrackpore, July 31: A bag containing at least Rs 36 lakh of an NGO was allegedly snatched away by a gang of miscreants at Gadamara under Amdanga police station in North 24 Parganas today.

The gang of miscreants threw pepper dust into the eyes of the driver of the Tata Sumo, said the ABCRB NGO men in which they were travelling with money.

Police were yet to make any comment on the incident while Senior police officers of Barasat were investigating the incident.

The NGO chief along with his men were reportedly on their way to a ICICI Bank branch at R N Guha Road in the city.
