UP: Sabarmati murder accused held

Lucknow, July 31: Kanpur police have arrested the criminal, who shot dead a man during a robbery on Sabarmati Express near Kanpur yesterday.

Police today said, deceased Mohammad Alam, a resident of Ambedkarnagar district, was travelling on sleeper coach No-10 of Sabarmati Express. He was shot dead by a miscreant Irfan when he tried to snatch valuables of the deceased from outside the train through the window.

Police arrested Irfan late last night and sent him to jail.
