Eight IPS officers transferred in UP
Lucknow, July 31 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government tonight transferred eight senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state.
Additional Director General (ADG), Special Investigation, S N Chak is now DG Railways, official sources said here.
Inspector General (IG) Amar Dutt Mishra, who was on waiting list, has been sent to Inter-State Border Force (ISBF), Mirzapur in the same capacity, while the earlier incumbent G N Singh was sent as IG ISBF, Agra.
Another IG on waiting list, K L Meena is IG PAC Central Zone, Lucknow, while, earlier, incumbent Surya Kumar has been transferred to Technical Services, replacing Abhay Shankar, who goes as IG Fire Services.
Jai Narain Singh, who was on waiting list, has been made as Police Superintendent State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB), Lucknow, while earlier incumbent Rajiv Sabharwal has been transferred to the CB-CID, Lucknow.
