Israeli air strike wounds 7 in Gaza- medics

GAZA, July 30 (Reuters) Israel launched an air strike against a vehicle today in the central Gaza Strip, wounding three Palestinian militants and four civilians, medics said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed there was an air strike.

Medics said three militants were wounded, one of them seriously, after an Israeli missile struck their car near Mughazi refugee camp, south of Gaza City. Four Palestinian bystanders were treated for slight injuries, medics said.

Witnesses said the vehicle exploded on impact. Local residents initially said the car appeared to have been driven by members of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

Medics could not confirm the identities of those who were injured.

Israeli soldiers killed two al-Aqsa members on Saturday.

Israel said they were planting explosives and preparing to launch mortars near the Gaza border fence.
