I have been victimised by Australian govt: Haneef
Bangalore, July 29: Dr Mohammed Haneef, who arrived yesterday night after being dropped of terrorism charges by the Australian Police said that he was victimised by the Austalian government.
Talking to newsmen after his arrival at his father in-law's residence where his wife and newly born Hania stays, said that &34; I had been victimised by the Australian authority. Due to the drama played by the Australian Federal Police that had forced me to undergo 27 days of traumatic experience&34; &34;I am thankful to my family, the Govt of India and Australian people who supported me through my difficult time. I also thank the Indian and Australian media.&34;
Dr Haneef reading out from a brief written statement said that he would speak in detail to the press tomorrow. &34;I am grateful to god, getting through the truma of being a victim was very hard. I am so happy to be with my family. It is an emotional movement for me to be with you after being victimised by the Australian authorities and the drama played by the Australian Federal Police. I thank the Indian High Commission in Austalia and the legal team.
Before coming to his father-in-law's house, where he spoke to the waiting media persons, Dr Haneef visited Madina Maszid and offered prayers.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy offered a senior position in teaching position in the Government.
Mr Kumaraswamy, reportedly, said that &34;I will meet the Dr Haneef family tomorrow. I will also talk to the Prime Minister if Dr Haneef needs any other help including going back to Australia or seeking any other job abroad. He experienced happiness over Dr Haneef's return to India in a honourable manner.
