Veterinary Technical officers to launch demonstration

Bhubaneswar, July 29 (UNI) The All Orissa Non-Gazetted Veterinary Technical Officer's Association(AONGVTOA) today threatened to hold statewide demonstration in September, if their demands were not met by then.

AONGVTOA General Secretary S K Mohanty said the Non-Gazetted Veterinary Technical Officers would hold demonstration in front of offices of each district Chief Veterinary officers to pressurise the authorities to fulfil its demand.

The demands of the association, included grant of weekly off, filling up of all vacancies, promotions and grant of contingency fund for artificial insemination.

Mr Mohanty said though the Chief Minister had ordered to grant weekly off, it had not been implemented so far.

Instead of filling up the vacancies, the authorities had so far abolished 483 posts and the Departmental Promotion Committee had not met for the last three years.
