Section 144 extended in JK's border district
Srinagar, July 29: To check the recent increase in infiltration from across the border, the Jammu and Kashmir government has extended section 144 in the frontier district of Kupwara for another 60 days, an official spokesman said today.
He said the District Magistrate, Kupwara, has extended prohibitory orders for 60 days more with immediate effect.
However, the essential services have been exempted from the section, the spokesman added.
