Paswan to challenge Modi in Guj Assembly polls

Ambaji, Gujarat, July 29 (UNI) Union Minister for Chemicals and Lok Janshakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan today said his party would field candidates in the forthcoming Gujarat Assembly elections from maximum number of seats to defeat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's government.

''We will field candidates from as many number of seats as possible with the sole purpose of defeating the Modi government,'' Mr Paswan told a large gathering of his supporters here.

The minister was in Ambaji, a town about 100 km from the State capital of Gandhinagar, to mobilise support for his party for the coming Assembly election.

Rashtriya Dalit Sena president Ramchandra Paswan and Lok Janshakti Party Gujarat president Mukesh Gujjar were also present on the occasion.
