Female monkey catches attention through her cerieways
Hardoi, July 29 (UNI) Seven-year-old Ram Kali -- a female monkey -- has become the cynosure of all eyes at village Poora Bahadur, eight km from Hardoi district headquarters.
This unusual 'bandaria,' the darling of every villager, does not love groundnuts and bananas, but relishes cold drinks. Ram Kali also does not mind smoking a pack of cigarette.
Gram Pradhan Santosh Kumar Dikshit said, ''if my memory serves, Ram Kali had migrated to Poora Bahadur five years back and now is close to everyones heart.'' ''Ram Kali had been domesticated by almost every family in the village. Unlike other apes, she cannot climb a tree and loves loafing around in the serpentile alleys of the city,'' Mr Dikshit noted.
The Gram Pradham maintained there is not a single child in the village, who had not been cuddled by Ram Kali.
Gradually, the 'bandaria' plunged into the lifestyle of the villagers and developed a penchant for cold drinks and liquor.
Ram Kali possesses another bizarre habit. After waking up at five in the morning, she splashes water over her face and then could not stop herself from surping a cup of tea, he added.
This unique monkey also likes to romance with male apes only after being served with a bottle of liquor, claimed a villager.
The 'bandaria' is trendy too. She loves being clad in designer outfits, especially stiched by local women for her. She loves wearing makeup and one can also find Ram Kali staring face for long hours in the mirror.
