Panaji, July 28: All members of the Goa Democratic Alliance (GDA) today served a ''no-confidence'' motion against state Assembly Speaker Pratapsinh Rane and Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godhino.

Informed sources told the sources that the motion did not specify any reason substantiating the action against the duo.

On the other hand, the no-confidence motion has to come for consideration within 14 of its filing.

But in this case, it cannot see the light of day with the House scheduled for adjournment sine die on Tuesday itself, according to experts.

Meanwhile, the session on Monday was likely to be ''tempestuous'' with the ruling Congress preparing grounds for ''restraining'' PWD Minister Ramakrishna Davlikar from voting on the budget demands for he withdrew his support to the government without resigning from the coalition government.

The Congress was also trying to rope him and his brother Deepak Davlikar under the purview of the anti-defection act though it had no jurisdiction over the other party (MGP).

The MGP on the other hand was supporting its two legislators withdrawing from the Congrress-led coalition and joining the GDA, it was argued.

The Congress was also reportedly trying to tighten the noose around the lone rebel woman legislator Victoria Fernandes by once again raising the issue of her disqualification in the House.

She required seven days time to offer her comments after the disqualification petition was filed, sources said.

Meanwhile, the GDA was also preparing to face the House on Monday to prove its majority at any cost.
