Nagpur, July 27: A day-long Vidarbha-level meeting of BJP functionaries is scheduled here for July 28.

The meeting is expected to be attended by nearly 3,500 delegates, including district and tehsil level office bearers of the party besides members of parliament, legislators, and members of local self-governing bodies of the BJP in the region, according to a party release here.

The party's state unit president Nitin Gadkari would inaugurate the meeting, while All India General Secretary Gopinath Munde would deliver the concluding address, the release said.

Among those attending the meeting would be the party's in-charge for Maharashtra Kaptan Singh Solanki, Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Pandurang Phundkar, state unit organising secretary Raghunath Kulkarni, and secretaries Khushal Bopche and Ashok Mankar, it said.

The meeting would discuss, among other things, organisational matters and the state-wide agitation that the party plans to launch against the alleged failures of the Democratic Front (DF) government on August nine.
