Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision posts sales of Rs 16.48 crore

Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited (SACVL), an integrated film production, distribution and exhibition house, today at the announcement of its unaudited financial results said total sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 stands at Rs 16.48 cr and the profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 6.49 cr.

On segment basis, the production segment contributes net sales of Rs 7.67 crore; the distribution segment contributes Rs 7.58 crore and the rest from the exhibition segment and other incomes. SACVL achieved sales of Rs 97.62 crore with a PAT of Rs 14.15 crore for the FY 2006-07, the company said.

Speaking to reporters today Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Dhilin Mehta said, ''As the entertainment industry is growing on a vast scale through the medium of films we are trying to provide continuous entertainment to people. The results of the good performance of our films, both last year and this quarter ended on June is due to the success of our production and distribution of films.'' SACVL has recently signed Kareena Kapoor for its three untitled films out of which one is the sequel of 'Golmaal-Fun Unlimited'.

They have also distributed multi-starrer film 'PARTNER'directed by David Dhawan in Mumbai Territory (excluding Mumbai city).
