Reliance officer deposes in Court in Pramod Mahajan murder case

Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Reliance Mobile company's Nodal Officer Gnyanendra Upadhyay deposed before the Sessions Court today in connection with the Pramod Mahajan murder case regarding the SMS sent by accused Pravin Mahajan to the deceased five to six days before he allegedly shot at his elder brother.

Deposing before Additional Sessions Court Judge S P Davare, who is presiding over the trial, Mr Upadhyay said the contents of an SMS can be stored in the server of service provider for just 24 hours, while the in and out numbers of a cellphone can be stored for one year.

Mr Upadhyay told the court that he had received a letter from the Assistant Police Commissioner on April 11 this year over the report of mobile phones seized from the accused. As per the order, he had submitted all available report to the senior inpector of Worli police station the next day.

The witness said that on April 17, the police officer had given him two mobile phones seized from the accused. He had ther taken out contents of all the SMSes from the mobile phone and sent the report to the police.
