Rahul assures Indira Awas special package to Sultanpur

Sultanpur, July 27 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi today assured the Sultanpur district of 10,000 Indira Awas special package every year.

On the last day of his four-day tour, the Amethi MP was in the city to attend the district monitoring committee meeting here.

Mr Gandhi assured that after returning to the national capital, he will request the Congress-led UPA regime at the centre to provide Sultanpur a special Indira Awas package of 10,000 every year.

During the first meeting of the committee, he had provided a special package of Rs five crore to Panchayati Raj Department.

Last year, Mr Gandhi had assured of the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), which was implemented this year.

Under NREGS, almost 70,000 job cards have been distributed so far, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar said.
