No foetus parts found in Mahendragarh: Haryana admn

Chandigarh, July 27 (UNI) The Haryana Health Department today denied recovery of any part of foetus or human body from the bed of Krishnawati river near village Mandi in Mahendragarh district.

A Health Department spokesman said immediately after receiving a telephone call from a local photojournalist on July 24 that some parts of foetuses were lying in bushes on the river bed, Civil Surgeon, Narnaul reached the spot.

Instructions were also issued to district T B Officer, Narnaul to reach the spot along with his team. On reaching the spot, they gathered all material lying there and put it in polythene bags and brought it to Narnaul. The police personnel and the members of the media were already at the spot.

He said the material was brought to the Civil Hospital, Narnaul and was opened in the presence of five doctors and four other officials including members of para-medical staff. Also, Station House Officer, Sadar and few mediapersons were also present.

The material recovered from the spot included three white, five yellow and two black items of bio-medical waste, a few blood soaked swabs, swabs of clean cotton, sputum cups, broken bottles made of plastic and glass as well as empty bottles of I V fluid, disposable syringes and needles, empty vials of injections, empty strips of tablets and used gloves.

However, neither any remain of foetus or part of human body had been recovered, the spokesman said.

He said that entire investigation has been videographed.
