Nine, including ticket collector arrested in Kahagaria

Khagaria, July 27 (UNI) Eight criminals of an interstate gang were arrested along with a ticket inspector (TI) were arrested during a raid conducted in the first class waiting room at Khagaria railway station late last night.

Police Superintendent Vineet Vinayak said here today that the police got an information that the criminals had assembled in the waiting room with the motive to commit dacoity in a train.

He said the police team raided the waiting room and arrested the criminals along with a TI posted at Khagaria railway station. Huge cache of firearms were also recovered from the spot.

Among the arrested criminals three belonged to Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, one to Gurgaon of Hariyana while three hailed from Bihar. All the arrested persons were being interrogated.
