Man held for administering poison to wife, kids

Jalandhar, July 27 (UNI) Police today arrested a person for killing his wife, daughter and a son, while his brothers and uncle involved in the crime are still at large.

Police said that Gurbaksh Kaur, a resident of village Mianwal Aaria under Shahkot Police Station, before her death, told SDM that yesterday her husband Amarjeet along with his brothers Gurmej Singh, Teja Singh, Baldev Singh and maternal uncle Mahender Singh, forcefully administered poison to her and her daughter Anjali (8) and son Rohit (6).

Police said Anjali died last night, while Gurbaksh Kaur and her son Rohit died in the civil hospital here this morning.

On the statement of Gurbaksh Kaur, police arrested Amarjit for killing his wife and children and efforts were on to nab the absconding culprits.
