LeT militant arrested; arms, ammunition, forex seized

New Delhi, Jul 27 (UNI) A Lashkar-e-Toiba suspect was arrested by the police from Chandni Chowk in old city this evening.

Shabbir Ahmed, an LeT activist, was arrested at about 1730 hrs from Chandni Chowk following intelligence inputs, said DCP (Special Cell) Alok Kumar.

''Four hand grenades, an AK 56 rifle, two magazines, a 9mm pistol and some foreign currency were recovered from his possession.'' A resident of Kashmir, Ahmed was staying in a guest house in Majlis Park area of Azadpur Subzi Mandi, said the DCP.

During interrogation, he revealed his LeT links. However, interrogation was still on, he added.
