HP Assembly speaker accepts Mankotia's resignation

Shimla, Jul 27 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker G R Musafir has accepted suspended Congress leader Vijai Singh Mankotia's resignation from the Vidhan Sabha, reducing the strength of the party to 66 in a House of 68.

''Mr Mankotia's resignation from the membership of the tenth Legislative Assembly received by fax on July 25 has been accepted'', he said in a Assembly release here.

Mr Musafir said his resignation has been accepted with effect from July 27.
