Hizb asks outsiders to leave Kashmir within one week

Srinagar, July 27 (UNI) After the banned Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), it was the turn of Hizbul Mujahideen, the single largest militant group operating in Jammu and Kashmir, today to serve an ultimatum to non-state subjects, asking them to leave the Valley within one week.

In a telephonic statement to many media organisations here, Hizb spokesman Junaid-ul-Islam endorsed and supported breakaway Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani call that all non-state subject workers and labourers should be seen off from the Valley.

He asked these workers and labourers from outside the state to leave the Kashmir valley within one week.

The spokesman said the involvement of non-state subjects in criminal activities was increasing almost every day and they were also pushing the Kashmiri youth to all kinds of social evils. ''It will be in their interests to leave the Kashmir valley,'' he added.

In a telephonic statement to media here, Jaish spokesman Abu Qadama also asked the non-state subjects to leave Kashmir.

Addressing a public meeting at Langate in Kupwara district on Tuesday, Mr Geelani said majority of non-state subjects was professional criminals and they should be driven out of Kashmir in a civilised and dignified manner.

The Jaish spokesman also urged those who have rented out accommodation to non-state subjects to see them off in a decent way and thus help in the eviction of outsiders from the Kashmir valley.

''Hundreds and thousands of non-state subjects, mostly workers and labourers have been pushed into the Kashmir valley under a well-planned conspiracy to destroy its economy and society. The rape and murder of a minor girl in Handwara recently should serve as an eye-opener for the people of Kashmir,'' he added.
