Four PKK leaders killed in Iraq blast -Turkish TV
ISTANBUL, July 27 (Reuters) Four leading members of the Turkish separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed in an explosion at their camp in northern Iraq, Turkish private broadcaster CNN Turk reported today.
The broadcaster said the explosion occurred in the Kandil mountains. No further details were immediately available.
Turkey, which has stationed large number of troops on its border with Iraq, has threatened to carry out a military cross-border operation against suspected PKK targets in north Iraq.
