Dr Haneef proves Bangalore not terrorism hub: K'taka CM
Bangalore, July 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said dropping of charges against Dr Mohammed Haneef proved that Bangalore was not a hub of terrorism.
Reacting over the reports on dropping of charges by the Australian Police against Bangalore based detained doctor Dr Haneef, he said the city, which had attracted global attention for IT, had never harboured terrorism.
''I was 'greately relieved' to hear about the Australian police dropping terror charges against Mohammed Haneef,'' he added.
''According to my information, Bangalore is not a base for terrorists,'' he said and allayed fears about the city's brand image getting dented after three Bangaloreans were linked to the failed terror plot.
