Bharat Nirman Campaign to be launched in Naraingarh
Chandigarh, July 27 (UNI) A five-day Bharat Nirman Campaign will be launched at Naraingarh in Ambala district of Haryana on July 28 for disseminating information to the targeted beneficiaries about various welfare schemes of the government.
An official spokesman said all the media units of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting like Directorate of Field Publicity, Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, Song and Drama Division, All India Radio and Doordarshan would be the main partners in the campaign.
The Departments of Central and State governments along with the NGOs and voluntary organisations would be taking part in the campaign through putting up their information stalls or by delivering lectures.
He said the schemes about which the information would be disseminated included Bharat Nirman Programme, National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, National Rural Health Mission and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
The people would also be made aware about Universal Mid-day Meals Programme, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Right to Information Act and Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. Two such campaigns had already been successfully conducted in the Sirsa and Mahendergarh districts.
