Bangalore, July 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that dropping of charges against Dr Mohammed Haneef has proved that Bangalore was not hubbing terrorism.

Reacting over the reports of dropping of charges by the Australian Police, on the Bangalore based detained doctor Dr Haneef, he said that the City, which has attracted global attention for its Information Technology, had never harboured terrorism.

He said that "I was 'greately relieved' to hear about the Australian police dropping terror charges against Mohammed Haneef, a doctor from Bangalore." Haneef being cleared of charges has also proved that the IT capital of Bangalore has no links with terror activities.

"According to my information, Bangalore is not a base for terrorists," he declared and allay the fears about the city's brand image getting dented after three Bangaloreans were linked to the failed terror plot.
