Ban on filling vacancies in Haryana varsity lifted

Chandigarh, July 27 (UNI) The Haryana government has accorded its approval to lift ban on filling of vacant posts in various departments of Ch Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (CCSHAU) in Hisar.

The decision has been taken with a view to imparting qualitative education and improving the research and training work for the students of the university, an official spokesman said today after a meeting of CCSHAU presided over by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here.

The government also approved a one time grant of Rs 35 crore for the university.

The Chief Minister stressed the need to develop organic farming in the states so that farmers could get remunerative prices for their produce.

He suggested that CCSHAU may organise seminars and open interactions with farmers regularly so that they could derive benefit of new technologies.

He said Panches, Sarpanches and progressive farmers should also be involved in deliberations of this kind.

The Chief Minister also announced to grant a sum of Rs one crore as seed money for the development of KVK on 60 acres of land donated to the university at village Mandkola in Mewat district.
