Allahabad University alumni meet in December

Allahabad, July 26: Allahabad University will organise its first ever international alumni meet in December this year.

The varisity has already formed a nine-member committee to start working in the best possible way to make the event successfull and a grand affair.

Members of the committee held their first meeting last week and decided to make all efforts to publicise the event and ensure the maximum possible participation of the alumni from all over the world.

The university, also known as the oxford of the east, will soon update its website with the details of the plan of the international alumni meet.

''We would send invitations and e-mails to known former students,'' said Mr Sunit Vyas, senior member of varsity executive council.

The university has also decided to publish a special souvenir to mark the occasion.

The varsity was given the status of central university two years ago.
