Workers engaged in BPL rectification work go on strike

Kishanganj, Jul 25 (UNI) All the workers, engaged in rectification work of Below Poverty Line (BPL) list, have struck work in protest against the alleged misbehaviour of the Kishanganj Block Development officer (BDO).

District Unit Secretary of Non-Gazetted Employees S B Jha said here today that the agitating people, including the non-gazetted employees, teachers and gram sevaks, held demonstrations before the collectorate in protest against the alleged misdemeanor of the BDO who ''used filthy language against one of their colleagues.'' Mr Jha said unless the BDO offered unconditional apology and was transferred from Kishanganj, the employees would not resume the BPL work.
