Those engaged in BPL rectification work proceeds on strike

Kishanganj, Jul 25 (UNI) Non-gazetted employees, teachers and gram sevaks engaged in rectification work of Below the Poverty Line (BPL) list went on a wildcat strike in protest against the alleged misbehaviour of Kishanganj Block Development officer (BDO).

According to the district unit secretary of non-gazetted employees S B Jha here today , the agitators squatted on a dharna before the collectorate in protest against the alleged misdemeanor and use of filthy language against one of their colleagues allegedly by the BDO.

He said unless the concerned BDO offered an unconditional apology and is transferred from Kishanganj, the employees would not resume the BPL work.
