Western disturbance brings rains to Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 24 (UNI) A fresh spell of showers in the last 24 hours has provided relief to people in Rajasthan from the heat and humidity due to weakening of the first phase of monsoon.

According to weather department, Nagaur recorded 70 mm rain in the past 24 hours. Bhinay in Ajmer district recorded 50 mm, Fatehpur in Sikar 40mm, Malpura in Tonk recorded 30mm and several other places recorded 10 to 20 mm rainfall.

A western disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir has resulted in rain in Rajasthan, said weathermen.

The state capital recorded 18 mm rain. Bikaner had trace rainfall and Ganganagar recorded 2 mm.

The met department has forecast thundershowers in some places in esatern Rajasthan and at several places in western part of the state.
