AP: Two killed by lightning strike

Machilipatnam, July 24: Two middle-aged women were charred to death when lightning struck them in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.

Police said K Sitamma (35) and K Kanakamma (39), both Dalit women, met with their end last evening while working in the field.

With these two deaths, the toll in lightning strike had gone up to five in the last three days in the district, police added.

It may be recalled that three persons died in a similar way at Movva mandal three days ago.
