Two feared drowned as tractor trolley falls into Yamuna canal
Panipat, Jul 24 (UNI) Two people were feared drowned when a tractor trolley, carrying 23 labourers, fell into Western Yamuna Canal near Panipat Refinery this morning.
While 11 labourers swam to safety, ten others, who received injuries, were rescued from the canal, official sources said. The injured were admitted to a private hospital and a nursing home here.
Civil and police authorities have rushed to the site and launched rescue operation.
Divers have been called to search for the missing labourers.
The tractor trolley was carrying the labourers from Sithana village to the refinery where they were engaged in the Naptha Cracker Project.
