Temperature soaring in Kolkata and adjoining areas

Kolkata, Jul 24 (UNI) Kolkata and its adjoining areas experienced a hot, sultry day today with the temperature rising and no trace of rainfall.

The maximum temperature recorded was 32.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 26.6 degrees Celsius, both one degree above normal.

The humidity was high at 92 per cent.

The Alipore Met department forecast a partly cloudy sky with few spells of rain or thunder showers.
