Hyderabad, Jul 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today alleged that the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was opposing the industrial development in the State and creating problems for the govenment in its efforts for industrial growth.

Official spokesperson of the party N Tulasi Reddy in a statement said that though the Government had prepared to discuss the Obulapuram Mining issue in the Assembly, the TDP leaders including its President N Chandrababu Naidu had created obstruction to the speech of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy with an ulterior motive.

Mr Tulasi said the TDP Government had closed 24 public undertakings and privatised 12 organisations during its nine-year rule in the state. The Congress Government during its tenure had taken up several measures for the industral growth, established Cement factories and brought FAB city and Pharma City in the State .

Though Dr Reddy had not made any derogatory remarks against the mother of Mr Naidu, the latter was trying to divert the attention and misleading the public for political gains, he added.

He termed the TDP leaders agitation on Obulapuram Mining issue as a 'drama', only to obstruct the employment opportunities in the State.
