Section 144 in MP tahsil

Chhindwara, MP, July 24 (UNI) Prohibitory orders were imposed in this district's Pandhurna tahsil headquarters after rallyists, protesting against a dacoity and murderous assault on a teacher's residence, pelted stones at a police station.

Police lobbed tear gas shells and lathicharged to disperse the rallyists.

Bandits barged into teacher Anant Balpande's residence last night, looted ornaments and cash, targeted the Balpande couple with iron rods. The teacher was rushed to Nagpur for treatment.
