SCDCCB launches mobile banking service

Mangalore, July 24 (UNI) The South Canara District Central Cooperative Bank (SCDCCB) today launched the mobile banking service ''SCDCCB bank on wheels'' here.

Launching the new service, SCDCCB President M N Rajendrakumar told newspersons that the new service would be operational within one month and the bank was awaiting approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The mobile bank would function from 0800 to 2000 hrs and would cover five locations in the city per day.

It had the facilities like deposit collection, loan sanctioning and disbursement of loans.

The mobile bank would be interconnected with all the 52 bank branches in the undivided Dakina Kannada district, he said.

He said the bank was planning to extend this facility to the rural areas.
