Retail prices of essential commodities remain steady
New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) Retail prices of essential commodities at four metropolitan cities remained stable or shown mixed trend in the week ending July 20 this year.
Prices of rice, gram, tur, milk, potato and salt were steady while that of wheat, atta, groundnut oil and vanaspati marginally increased, according to Department of Consumer Affairs which monitored the trend.
In Delhi, prices of rice, gram, potato and salt remained steady for over one month.
Wheat prices increased by rupee one per kg both at Delhi and Mumbai and atta increased by 50 paise at Delhi.
Sugar price decreased by rupee one per kg at Delhi.
Onion prices increased by rupee one per kg at Delhi and declined by 50 paise at Mumbai.
Mustard oil price declined by rupees two per kg at Kolkata.
Prices of vanaspati declined by rs two at Kolkata while there was an increase of rupee one at Delhi and rupees two at Chennai.
Groundnut oil prices increased by rupees two per kg at Delhi and rupee one at Mumbai.
Tea prices declined by rupee one per kg at Delhi.
