No interviews for government jobs in Uttarakhand: Cabinet
Dehradun, July 24 (UNI) Uttarakhand government has removed interview system from all its recruitment processes for government jobs in the state.
Decision to this effect was taken in a cabinet meeting today chaired by Chief Minster Maj Gen (Retd) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri.
Chief Secretary S K Das, briefing the media after cabinet meeting, said there would be only written examination that too in objective format.
He said the examinatation would include 25 per cent negative marking system and candidates would be allowed to take duplicate answer sheets along with them after examinations.
This, he said, was implemented by the government to ensure transparency in recruitment process.
Mr Das disclosed that very soon recruitment process would begin for around 2500 vacant posts in various departments including Health, Education and Home.
He said decision was also taken to revive various Sub Committees including Panchayati Raj, Animal Husbandry and Urban Development, formed earlier by the government.
