Nitish govt committed to creating health awareness: Prem Kumar
Aurangabad, Jul 24 (UNI) Public Health and Engineering Minister of Bihar Prem Kumar today said the NDA government was committed to creating a health-concious state.
Speaking at the annual function of a Hindi daily here, he claimed that the NDA government had mooted a project to provide safe drinking water to every person and work on the project was in progress.
Mr Kumar said the media could play a vital role in educating the masses and bringing health awareness among them. ''We cannot realise our dream without the help of the media,'' he added.
He also honoured paedritician Dr Chandrashekhar Prasad with Magadh Ratna and Mr Satish Kumar with Dr Shankar Dayal Singh Journalist Award for exceptional work in their respective fields.
