Nat seminar on safety in construction industry from Jul 27
Chennai, July 24 (UNI) A two-day national seminar on safety measures in the construction industry will be held here on July 27 and 28.
Seminar convener T M Gunaraja and Organising secretary P R Seshadri told newspersons here yesterday that the event organised by the Tamil Nadu chapter of the Institution of Engineers India, will serve as a forum for interchange of expertise on current trends in construction safety to ensure that all works were well co-ordinated and that safety and quality were maintained at all times.
The objective of the seminar was to highlight the expeditious boom in construction, they said adding it was imperative that companies need to view safety and quality, not simply as a cost, but rather as an investment in the future safety and profitability of their industry.
As many as 200 delegates from all over the country are expected to participate in the national event in which 22 technical papers would be presented.
Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Chairman Hans Raj Verma would inaugurate the seminar, they added.
