MP: Irregularity in Mahakal temple fund accounts
Bhopal, July 24 The audit of record of the managing committee of Ujjain's famous Mahakal temple has revealed that the amount deposited by employees was less by Rs 64,000, Madhya Pradesh Revenue Minister Kamal Patel told the Assembly today.
In a written reply to Mr Tarachand Goyal, Mr Patel said no irregularities were detected in the audit of jewellery for 2004-05.
Action would be taken against concerned officials for depositing less amount.
Mr Patel told Dr Narayan Parmar that the Mahakal temple administrator had sought additional security for the temple.
However, it depended upon available resources with the district police.
The Minister told Mr Ummed Singh Bana that government official Nandkishor Dikshit was posted as the President of Shri 108 Ashutosh Dharm Setu Lok Nyas near Tikamgarh district headquarters.
A case of beating and committing irregularities in the record of temple trust was registered against the president.
Investigation against the president was underway.
