DHVBN covers 3 more villages in CFL campaign

Chandigarh, July 24 (UNI) Under its ongoing campaign for replacement of incandescent bulbs with energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has covered three more villages.

The new CFL villages were Garhi, Rajpura and Khatawali under Narnaul Operation Circle of DHVBN, an official spokesman said.

Teams of the DHBVN officials camped in these villages and motivate the residents to replace traditional yellow bulbs with the energy efficient CFLs.

They also organized CFL stalls in the villages and went from door to door along with Sarpanches and other members of Panchayats to persuade the residents.

He said 855 consumers in these three villages had purchased about 1500 CFLs from the camps organised by the DHBVN officials and from the CFL vehicles of the Nigam.
